Will Tech Jobs Come Back?

The tech job market is cyclical which means that even though there have been shifts like layoffs over the past few years, many experts believe that tech jobs will bounce back. Here's why:

Digital Transformation Sustained: Businesses across sectors are still working to adopt digital transformation technologies such as cloud, AI and automation which will grow demand for tech talent.

AI and New Entrants: The booming AI, machine learning and other emerging technology industries are expanding the tech’s scope and creating new positions.

Global Technological Skills: Tech skills have a global demand and companies are fighting for these skills in software development, cyber security, and data science.

NGlobal Expansion: As countries recover from recessions, companies tend to reinvest in technology and innovation resources which means more jobs.

Remote Work: Remote Work has widened the scope of hiring and enabled companies to recruit worldwide which can create more opportunities for tech professionals.

The only caveat is that the skill of using these different technologies will have to be accompanied by upskilling in order to stay competitive in the market. Some traditional roles such as AI and cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure are expected to increase while others are at risk of being automated.

In short, as the technology labor market might change, the need for tech skills in the future is likely to continue being strong.
